Half Pass Farm and Stables was purchased in 2001 by Ted and Cathy Fontaine. Ted, an established entrepreneur, brought life back to Half Pass through a business model of going the extra mile. Ted's vision of an all inclusive equestrian facility brought about the exceptional amenities that Half Pass has to offer today.
In August of 2007 Ted and Cathy agreed that it was time to move on, and decided to sell Half Pass to the partnership of sisters Jenny Wellington and Laura Macon.
Both Jenny and Laura were raised in the equestrian environment, both apprenticing under the direction of Billy and Jeanette Ridgill, owners of the highly successful Black Bottom Stables in Ladson, SC. It was there that they learned the value of the environment in which the horse and rider come together. Black Bottom has created a dynasty on being family oriented and inviting, principles that Jenny and Laura are taking to Half Pass. Together, they posses more than 30 years of equestrian experience.
We at Half Pass Farm and Stables are committed to providing a safe, family oriented and relaxing atmosphere with all the nessecary amenities for you to enjoy your equine pleasures.
Both Jenny, Laura and their families reside on the property, and are available for your horse's care 24 hours a day.
